DESCRIPTION

Island Merchandiser - HHS-IR-IM Series
FWE's Island Merchandiser is the ultimate grab-and-go solution for high-volume foodservice environments. Designed for pre-packaged takeout containers and bags, this merchandiser uses dual heat technology consisting of radiant blanket elements and overhead infrared heat to keep food hot, fresh, and ready for quick self-service.

5" Casters - 5" Heavy-duty casters - polyurethane casters are long lasting and used for easy maneuverability, even when fully loaded
EZ Roll Heavy Duty Poly Caster - The EZ Roll Casters are standard on FWE cabinets and provide moderate floor protection with a high weight capacity.
EZ roll casters are shock absorbing and roll easier under heavy loads.

Available in 5", 6" and 8" diameters.
6 Caster Configuration - 6 caster configuration increases the cabinets maneuverability, ideal for larger cabinets

Heat System
Radiant Heat System - FWE's natural convection heat system allows a soft heat to radiate throughout the compartment. Heat rises naturally and circulates from bottom to top without blowers. Radiant heat is best suited for short term heated holding.
HHS Infrared Heat System - This heat system uses longwave infrared elements to maximize the hold times of crispy, fried, and wrapped foods such as fried chicken, french fries, onion rings, etc. The long-wave infrared elements are positioned to keep the product within the ideal range to keep the outside coating crisp while maintaining the internal temperature and moisture of the items.

Caster
Adjustable Legs - FWE offers a wide variety of adjustable legs for when casters are not an option. 4" and 6" adjustable legs are available on almost all of FWE's equipment.
All adjustable legs are provided with sealed precision bearing with a black anti-rust coating.
Control Panel
Concealed Control Panel - Sliding cover fully hides control panel, preventing accidental interference while providing a clean appearance.

SHORT FORM SPEC

Specified unit shall be FWE Model No. HHS-IR-3160-IM, Infrared and Radiant Heated Island Merchandiser.

CONSTRUCTION. Heliarc welded, single unit construction of stainless steel; 20 gauge stainless steel polished exterior wall. Welded tubular base frame shall be 1" square, heavy gauge stainless steel tubing, with 10 gauge stainless steel reinforcing stress plates at corners.

SNEEZE GUARD TOP. Furnished with LED lighting that rotates 320°and pivots 90° mounted on each side of element housing. Self-serve two-sided Lexan sneeze guard. Black powder coated top panels.

ADJUSTABLE BOTTOM SHELVES. Furnished with one stainless steel shelf per side adjustable on 1.5" spacings.

INSULATION. Ceramic fiber board insulation under heated shelf for efficiency.

CASTERS. Maintenance free polyurethane tire casters in a configuration of two (2) rigid and four (4) swivel with brake. Casters shall have a reinforced yoke mounted to 10 gauge caster plate. The caster mounting plate shall be secured to a 10 gauge stainless steel reinforcing stress plate via welded in place stainless steel studs. The reinforcing stress plates shall be welded to the heavy gauge tubular base frame.

HEATING SYSTEMS/CONTROLS. Infrared and Radiant heat controls shall have individual ON/OFF switches. Infrared Heat System: Heat system shall include longwave infrared elements above each shelf with a control dial knob for heat adjustment. Radiant Heat System: Radiant heat system for merchandising shelf shall include a blanket heating element system. Digital display with adjustable temperature range from 90°F to 190°F (32°C to 88°C). Standard factory preset to 175°F (79.5°C).

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS. 3 wire grounded tri-directional power cord and plug, rear mounted for safety. See electrical data chart above for amperage, receptacle configuration and dedicated circuit information.

INSTALLATION. Unit should not be installed in an area where adverse environmental conditions are present.
